Twenty or more years ago, Chaplains Ray and Bess Maloy started the "Good News Guide" as a monthly Christian teaching newsletter. It was a ministry primarily to inmates of Maryland prisons, though it has always been freely available to others as well.
Because of new requirements in Maryland prisons, I am no longer able to send mail directly to the Maryland inmates on the current mailing list. For that reason, and also because of new funding constraints, I have decided to make the newsletter available primarily online, so that anyone with access to the Internet can read it on this web site and/or print one or more copies for personal use or to share with others. I will still send a printed copy by mail to anyone who requests it, but if you can get it from this web site, please do so.
I will not be sending out any more mailings to folks on the old mailing list. Those who want to be on the new mailing list for a printed copy must let me know by sending a request to:
